Performance Analysis Intern

Laura joined SINI in September 2009 as a Performance Analysis Post Graduate Intern.

Laura holds a BSc Hons from the University of Bath, in Sport and Exercise Science with Industrial placement (South Australian Sports Institute), and is completing her MSc in Performance Analysis at the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff. Laura is a member of the British Association of Sport and Exercise Science and International Society of Performance Analysis of Sport, and is a practitioner on the 2009-2010 Sport Northern Ireland Practitioner Development programme.

Laura has previously been involved in physiology based research, however, she is looking forward to working in a interdisciplinary fashion in her Performance Analysis post. Laura is particularly interested in the following areas in Performance Analysis:

  • Development of best practice

  • Innovation and technological advances
  • Technique development
  • Technique deterioration with fatigue
  • Time-motion analysis in team sports
