Physiotherapist

Chris qualified as a Physiotherapist from the University of Ulster in 1996 and is in his second year of an MSc in Sports Physiotherapy at Cardiff University. Chris has worked full time as Clinical Specialist in Sports Medicine at the Sports Institute Northern Ireland since late 2007 and is currently the Physio lead with target sports (Bowls, Archery and Shooting) Boxing and Cycling.
Chris has twelve years experience working within Sports Medicine and has been Physiotherapist to athletes who have gone on to win Paralympic and Olympic medals. Chris has travelling internationally with sports ranging from soccer to squash, athletics and table tennis.
Chris was the Head Physiotherapist for the Irish team at the 2009 World University Games in Serbia. In Gaelic Football and Hurling Chris has worked at College (UUJ -Seven Sigerson Campaigns), Club-Provisional Champions/Finalist (Burren, Dungiven, Loup, Bellaghy), County (Down and Derry-6 years), Provincial (Railway Cup), and International level.
Chris has been a NI ACPSM Committee member for over ten years and was the Regional Rep for six years. Chris has delivered lectures and courses at the ACPSM Conference and taught Sports Medicine related topics at the University of Ulster.
He is currently an accredited member of Acupuncture Assoc of Chartered Physiotherapists.
