Martin Loughran

Martin is a graduate of the University of Huddersfield with a Bsc (Hons) in Physiotherapy.

After graduating Martin worked in the NHS in Bradford and also took up a part time post with League One side Huddersfield Town, spending two seasons working with the academy and reserve teams. Following this, Martin returned home to Northern Ireland to take up a senior musculoskeletal physiotherapy post in the NHS in Lisburn.

In the past few years Martin has worked as a senior physiotherapist in a private sports and spinal injury clinic, working with a range of athletes including gaelic footballers, hurlers, rugby players, footballers, track and field athletes, tri-athletes, swimmers and cyclists. Martin has worked with many of the leading GAA clubs in Tyrone, Derry and Donegal. He has also worked at inter-county level with Antrim GAA at Senior, Under-21 and Under-18 level. Martin has also worked with St Mary’s University in the Dr McKenna Cup and St Patricks Academy Dungannon in their most recent successful Mac|Rory Cup campaign.

Martin is a silver level member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports Medicine (ACPSM) and is currently working towards gold level status. In 2008 Martin gained a post graduate certificate in Manual Therapy at the University of Ulster, and as a member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP) he also practices acupuncture.

Martin joined the SINI team in June 2009 and is a Soft Tissue Physiotherapist.
