Karl is based in Lisburn and has been involved in Archery for a number of years, having been the Northern Ireland Outdoor Champion in 1996, 1997, 1998, 2008, 2009 and Indoor Champion in 2009. Karl was the Irish outdoor champion in 2008 and is a Northern Irish record holder at over 10 rounds.

Karl is working towards competing at the Commonwealths 2010.
