Paddy is a full time athlete based at the Holy Family boxing club in Belfast. Paddy is a member of the Irish High Performance squad and spends time with the squad in Dublin when not training in Belfast.
Paddy is the current Olympic Bronze medalist in the light flyweight. Paddy represented Northern Ireland at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Australia and in 2007 won Gold at the Commonwealth Federation Championships in Liverpool.
In June 2010 Paddy took Gold at the European Amateur Championships in Moscow.
