Beattie who is a silver medallist from the Melbourne Commonwealth Games is looking forward to the event which starts on Saturday and had this to say,

“I am looking forward to the competition and intend on giving it 110%, like all sport you just hope that you click on the day and we have to take things as they come. We competed in the World Cup in Dorset earlier this week and while I am happy with the ways things went and achieving a good average, I didn’t medal so I will be hoping to do more this weekend.

We are heading to Italy for the 2nd World Cup in June, so they will be my focus after this competition and then longer term it will be Commonwealth Games in Delhi in the Autumn.”
