Game On at the QFT

Sport has always provided a rich seam of inspiration for film-makers and the aim of Game On! is to showcase some fantastic sports films and to give audiences of all ages a taste of sporting activities, both on and off-screen.

Game On! will feature a series of free sports and Olympic themed screenings, including BMX Bandits, Hoop Dreams, Bend It Like Beckham and Chariots of Fire. The event will culminate on Sunday 27^th September with Sync or Swim, a uniquely interactive screening in the swimming pool at Queen's PEC, which will feature a synchronised swimming exhibition and a screening of memorable movie moments with an aquatic theme. Audiences will be able to watch the action from the viewing gallery or from the swimming pool itself!

Game On! is funded by Legacy Trust UK, an independent charity set up to help build a lasting cultural and sporting legacy from the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and is part of the Legacy Trust UK Connections Programme which is managed by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.
