Archery
SINI athletes Mark Nesbitt and Karl Watson took the honours at the Leixlip Archers Irish Open, with Mark winning the event and Karl taking the silver medal. Both athletes will now travel to the Asian Games from 13th to 21st September in India, as part of NI archery team preparation, in anticipation of the Commonwealth Games. SINI wishes to congratulate both athletes on an excellent performance.

Adaptive Rowing
Irish adaptive rower Karen Cromie and new rowing partner Kevin Culhane came 4th in the B final and tenth overall in the Trunk and Arms Double Sculls at the World Rowing Championships 2009, Poznan, Poland.
Karen recently made the decision to compete for Ireland rather than Great Britain, who she represented in the Beijing Paralympics last summer. The World Rowing Championships at the weekend was just the second time she has competed for Ireland with new partner Kevin Culhane.

Ladies Hockey
Several SINI athletes were part of the Irish Ladies hockey team who finished 5th in the Euro Hockey Nations Championship in Amsterdam after securing a one all draw, this result ensures that the Irish Ladies team retain top flight status in Europe. In total 7 SINI athletes played, these athletes were Emma Clarke, Emma Stewart, Bridget Cleland, Shirley McCay.
