Matt McGovern, who trains out of Ballyholme in Bangor, had this to say,

“After the long hard winter training it is great to have a breakthrough and make it into the top ten in the world, winning the medal race was the icing on the cake!”

Ryan Seaton had this to say,

“It is a great confidence boost before we go to the next week’s competition which is the “Sail For Gold” Regatta in the 2012 Olympic venue. It is also great to win the first of the Irish team Olympic trials this week too. We want to thank everyone for their support, in particular our families, coaches and SINI and Sport Northern Ireland.”
