Sports Institute Northern Ireland mourns the passing of Karen Cromie.

Executive Director of SINI, Dr Shaun Ogle, expressed his sympathies when he made the below comment,

“The Board and officers of the Sports Institute Northern Ireland are all deeply saddened to learn of the sudden and untimely death of athlete Karen Cromie.

Karen was an extremely talented athlete who had competed at the highest level in her sport and we feel privileged to have had the opportunity to work with her.

Karen will be greatly missed throughout the sporting community in Northern Ireland and beyond.

Our thoughts and sympathies are with Karen’s family at this very difficult time.”
