Adaptive Rowing
Rowing was introduced to the Paralympic Programme in 2005 and made its debut to the Games in Beijing in 2008.
Rowers compete in four Paralympic boat classes - men's arms only single scull (AM1x), women's arms only single scull (AW1x), trunk and arms mixed double (TA2x) and legs, trunk and arms mixed coxed four (LTA4+) and each class race over a distance of 1000m.
DSNI
Disability Sports NI (DSNI) is Northern Ireland's main disability sports organisation and is representative of the vast majority of Northern Ireland's disability sports club's and organisations. Established in 1997, to tackle the under representation of people with disabilities in sport, the organisation works to promote equality of opportunity for people with disabilities to take part in and enjoy sport and physical activity at a level of their choice.
