The Sports Institute Northern Ireland will offer able bodied and disabled, international and national sportsmen and women, the opportunity to access Accredited Sports Dietitians who will provide expert sports nutrition advice, tailored to meet their sport specific nutritional demands.

Core Purpose

To provide reliable, credible and practical sport nutrition education and advice to athletes, coaches and other key individuals who influence sporting performance.

Strategic Goals

To translate the science of sports nutrition into everyday eating and drinking practices.

To enhance the delivery of effective sports nutrition advice to athletes through working together with coaches and other sports performance professionals.

To use the most up-to-date scientific technology and practice to deliver sports nutrition advice that makes a difference.


Sports Nutrition Services

1. Individual assessment and consultation.

2. Sports specific group education.

3. Catering advice at training camps and residential facilities.

4. Practical nutrition activities such as shopping and cookery demonstrations.

5. Sports nutrition information via printed materials and the expansion of online educational services.
